I just read this, months after you wrote it, and just wanted to say thank you. This really resonated as I was going through a period of grief back in December as well. You're such a talented writer 💛
Wow thanks so much! I’m not sure how I missed relying to this, but grateful I saw it now 💞 December just hits different. Always for me because of the death anniversaries, but last year in particular. On the other side of the storm I am now especially grateful to have gone through it and really allowed myself to fall apart. I hope you’re flourishing as well ☺️🫶🏼
I appreciate you pulling out the courage required to grieve, and the loneliness which - isn't exactly a requirement, but a result of giving yourself over to the work. It can only be done alone.
I wrote about my experience of this early this year on this platform, in my grief season (June). I found that part of the grieving 'out loud' included actually talking to the one I was missing - this gave me a way bring to the surface the deep feelings that had been bringing me down.
Also writing helped. And sharing in grief circles and/or dharma sharing groups.
Thank you so much for this ❤️ I will check out your writing! Oh, that’s so cool to hear you say that (talking out loud) because I’ve been finding myself doing that a lot. Very validating to hear someone else say it ☺️
sigh...Adam Quiney once again with his resonance 🤗...Lonely Courage ~ what a wild truth. Thanks for sharing and for doing what you felt called to in the moment to open up some space. I really needed that reminder that the "fluffy shit" (as I like to call Being based tasks) is almost always what's needed, particularly when I'm resisting whatever Doing task is in front of me. Never a waste of time.
Wishing you a cuddly and spacious period of grief. You are so deeply loved ❤️
oh you mean the tattoo! I instantly was thinking of the blue hoodie hahaha - can we get a tattoo that represents "never a waste of time" ? because i have word tattoos now and i am NOT psyched about the way they are bleeding and getting bigger!!! maybe a dazzling pocket watch?!
